30 year old Teco Cipriano was introduced at the awards ceremony as the winner of the first international FAB Futures Award sponsored by StockFood. His poster design titled “Hot Sauce” for a spicy barbeque sauce which brought raw meat on the barbecue to sizzling temperatures with its fiery pep, enthralled the top-class FAB jury. As a native-born Brazilian, Cipriano was inspired by the famous barbecues in South America for his idea for a fiery Tabasco sauce.

Further nominations for the FAB Futures Award went to two British designers: Owen Evans convinced the jury with a humorous poster design for olive oil and Manisha Mistry secured a nomination with a playful idea for a packaging for a body lotion, toying with associations to jam products.
